There is an exciting opportunity to work towards a 3-year PhD programme under the umbrella of Keele University. The program entails on performing hands-on Thrombectomy experiments on a circle of Willis flow model to understand the brain physiology relating to pressure changes and clot behaviour. This will also provide the candidate the opportunity to perform and learn Thrombectomy techniques in a flow model. You can find details below and can apply online by following the below link:

This PhD programme will suit a radiology trainee who is interested in pursuing a career in Interventional Neuroradiology or Interventional Radiology/Mechanical Thrombectomy. We are also interested in speaking with candidates from other backgrounds such as radiography, etc with a strong interest in research.

Please contact Dr Sanjeev Nayak (Sanjeev.Nayak@uhnm.nhs.uk) for further information.
